This is the First Sub I served on as a Sonar Technition...The USS Greenfish SS351 a Balao Class Submarine. They called them "Pig Boats" because they were deisel powered. Basically everyone smelled like the back of a bus.

This is the second Sub I served on. USS Flasher SSN613. A Thresher/Permit Class Nuclear Fast Attack Submarine. Very exciting duty. I was a Sonar Technicion kind of like "Jonesy" on "The Hunt For Red October". Most time submerged was 129 days...
